SEPA Instant on ISO 20022, signed and schema-valid.
An EU-licensed payments institution set out to send and receive SEPA Instant itself, on the full ISO 20022 message set.
EU-licensed payments institution · Client withheld under NDA
Challenge
The scheme gives a payment ten seconds to reach a final answer, so a message that fails validation has already missed it. Nothing gets repaired by hand.
What we built
- The pacs lifecycle: pacs.008 credit transfers, pacs.002 status reports, pacs.004 returns.
- Recall and recall-response handling on camt.056 and camt.029.
- XSD validation against the pacs and camt schemas before a message leaves the system.
- xmldsig signing and signature verification on every exchange with the scheme.
- A high-availability deployment, so the loss of a node does not stop the payment flow.
Outcome
The institution clears SEPA Instant on its own rails. Messages leave signed and schema-valid, and every state change leaves a record an auditor can follow.
